Are you a victim of a crime?  If so, it may be possible for you to make application for compensation to the Victims Services tribunal.

There is a time limit of two years from the date of the offence within which to make your application and considerable details must be included in your application which can include an application for counseling at the cost of the tribunal. It is possible to seek leave to lodge an application out of time, and the application will be considered on its merits.

You should seek legal advice as soon as possible after an offence, particularly if you are aware that the offender has been charged by the police.
